Field and Farm Day at ZS Farms

Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm near Strome, AB (15516 TWP 442, Flagstaff County)

There has been talk of a field day for awhile and Mr. Bryan Zwack has volunteered his farm. What does he have to see?

  1. All his crops are intercrops.

  2. He has not used any synthetic nitrogen this year yet.

  3. He brought in cattle manure to compost, it’s been composting for over two months now.

  4. He is raising pigs in an outside controlled environment (replicating a system used in eastern Europe) to make compost. He has a two-week-old compost pile working now.

  5. Bryan has been extracting his compost and has applied up to 40 gallons on some acres, plus other processes, and amendments to speed the process of achieving better soil health. These are not small plot trials; his whole farm is a research farm.

We will have a BBQ after for time to interact. Please bring a lawn chair. If you are interested please register with Greg Moline 780-902-1234 or
